Operating Room Registered Nurse

Operating Room Registered Nurse Profession: Registered Nurse Specialty: Operating Room Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Day Hours per Shift: 12 hours Experience: Minimum 2 years of RN experience; 1 year of in-specialty experience License: RN License required Certifications: BLS required Must-Have: - Circulate and scrub experience - Proficient in cardiac and general surgery, vascular, thoracic, and robotics - Proficient at vein harvesting and radial artery harvesting Description: The Operating Room Registered Nurse will work 3x12 hour shifts. Shifts may vary between 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. or 11 a.m. to 11 p.m. Weekend work is required, along with one day of on-call duty per week. Additional on-call duties may occur on weekends as scheduled. The average daily census is 22 cases. Candidates must have proficiency in various surgical skills, including: - Vascular procedures such as AV fistulas/grafts and aortic surgeries - Orthopedic procedures including arthroscopies and total joints - General surgeries, including colorectal resections and laparoscopic surgeries - ENT procedures like tracheostomies and laryngectomies - Urology procedures including cystectomies and nephrectomies - Robotic surgeries for gynecological and colorectal cases - GYN surgeries such as abdominal and vaginal hysterectomies Candidates should be prepared to respond within 30 minutes when on-call. Flu vaccination is mandatory, except for valid medical exemptions. COVID-19 vaccination is not required for this position.
