\n The Role at a glance: \n

\n

\n

We are looking to add an experienced  PRN Registered Dietitian to our healthcare team in Meadowbrook, PA . As a Registered Dietitian, you will have the opportunity to identify and assess the nutritional needs of assigned patients/residents, initiate interventions to achieve and/or maintain individuals nutritional status, and enhance quality of life consistent with patient’s/resident’s goals. *This position will be scheduled an average of 8 hours per month, and will need to have weekday availability to cover vacations and doctor appointments. Also, weekends once per month to cover hospital rotation. We are looking for someone with LTC, Short-Stay Rehab, and Acute/Hospital experience. Ideally, we are looking for a candidate with past experience in Long-Term & Acute care with PCC & MDS Sheet experience. The PRN Registered Dietitian will be covering Holy Redeemer Hospital (which shares a campus with St. Joseph's Manor) and also covering the Lafayette campus.*

\n What you'll be doing: \n

\n

\n

\n
• Providing nutritional expertise to the health care team and educating patients/residents, staff, or consultants. 
\n
• Following the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics’ standards of practice and facility regulatory requirements. 
\n
• Interacting with other departments in setting up procedures and policies, and in problem solving as it relates to dining service and nutrition. 
\n
• Actively participating in the development, review, and revision of continuous quality improvement programs. 
\n

\n What we're looking for: \n

\n

\n

Must-haves: 

\n

\n
• Bachelor’s degree in nutrition (Prior to 2024) or related field
\n
• Master's degree in Nutrition or related field.
\n
• Passed a national examination administered by the Commission on Dietetic Registration (CDR) or meets the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics requirements for eligibility. 
\n
• Completes 75 hours of continuing education hours every five years, in accordance with the CDR, utilizing the professional portfolio development process. 
\n
• Licensed or certified, per state requirements. 
\n
• Knowledge of regulation standards specific to comprehensive assessments, care planning, and residents’ rights. 
\n
• Ability to teach others, specifically pertaining to nutrition and dietetics. 
\n

• Experience working in healthcare or long-term care.

• $28.00 - $40.00 per hour, depending on experience.
