Principal Core Infrastructure Engineer - AI Infrastructure (Bash)

Salary: $114,600 - 234,600 per year Requirements:

• Must live near Nashville, Tennessee, for regular office attendance, or be willing to relocate for onsite work.
• 6–10+ years of experience delivering and operating large-scale, highly available distributed systems, with Linux development and systems debugging experience.
• Strong knowledge of object-oriented programming, such as C++ or Java, and scripting languages such as Python.
• Strong foundation in data structures, algorithms, operating systems, and distributed systems.
• Experience with infrastructure-as-code tools such as Terraform.
• Familiarity with networking protocols, including TCP/IP and and standard network architectures.
• Strong understanding of databases, NoSQL systems, storage, and distributed persistence technologies.
• Strong troubleshooting and performance-tuning skills.
• Experience building multi-tenant, virtualized infrastructure is a plus.

• Own the software design and development of major Oracle Cloud Infrastructure components.
• Design, develop, operate, and debug infrastructure across the stack, including Linux, Docker, Java web services, Terraform, and low-level systems.
• Design interactions across distributed systems and contribute to scalable infrastructure solutions.
• Independently identify problems and take action to improve systems and deliver results.
• Collaborate in an agile environment and continually learn while building reliable, scalable services.

We are partnering with hackajob to recruit a Principal Core Infrastructure Engineer for Oracles Compute AI Infrastructure Bare Metal Provisioning team in the Nashville area. Our team develops scalable systems and tooling to automate the full server lifecycle, from platform creation and hardware bring-up through customer-ready provisioning and firmware management. We work across bare-metal hardware and orchestration systems, including GPUs, and partner with teams in Compute, Networking, Security, Data Center Engineering, and Hardware Development.
