Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Mother-Baby / Couplet Care / Post Partum Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Day Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum of 2 years in high acuity postpartum care License: Compact license required Certifications: BLS, NRP Must-Have: - High-risk obstetric care experience - Experience with magnesium sulfate therapy and use of Pitocin - Ability to manage postpartum hemorrhage - Competence in caring for multiple couplets - Experience in substance withdrawal care - Proficiency using electronic health record systems Description: We are seeking a registered nurse specializing in mother-baby and couplet care for our postpartum unit. The facility serves a large volume of high-risk obstetric patients. Candidates must have experience in high-acuity postpartum settings. The role involves managing up to four couplets, with the potential for a census surge. Experience with magnesium sulfate therapy and Pitocin administration is essential. The position also requires the ability to recognize and act upon signs of postpartum hemorrhage. Familiarity with substance withdrawal management in newborns is preferred. Candidates should have proficiency in electronic health record systems for documentation. Weekend shifts are required, with a commitment to work six weekend days per contract. The population served includes infants and adults, with a diverse patient mix. This position involves collaboration with various interdisciplinary support teams. Traveling nurses may be expected to float between nearby facilities as needed.
