Enhancing the quality of life through excellent quality care for every person and program we work with. 116 Village Boulevard, Suite 200, Princeton, NJ 08540 Counselor - School Based Job ID: TA3-0000957 Start Date: SY 2026-2027 Hours Needed: Full time, Part time and/or Per Diem Job Responsibilities Individual student academic program planning Interpreting cognitive, aptitude and achievement tests Providing counseling to students who are tardy or absent Providing counseling to students who have disciplinary problems Providing counseling to students about appropriate school dress Collaborating with teachers to present school counseling core curriculum lessons Analyzing grade‑point averages in relationship to achievement Interpreting student records Providing teachers with suggestions for effective classroom management Ensuring student records are maintained as per state and federal regulations Helping the school principal identify and resolve student issues, needs and problems Providing individual and small‑group counseling services to students Advocating for students at individual education plan meetings, student study teams and school attendance review boards Analyzing disaggregated data Including research‑based instructional practices and strategies to prepare students for college and the workplace Teaching organizational skills across content areas for students to apply in every aspect of their education Exposing students to colleges through tours, college student tutors, and guest speakers to motivate high school students to attend college and pursue careers Promoting college & career readiness skills through curriculum and suggested instructional practices Providing strategies to instill leadership skills in students through public speaking, small group activities, and community service activities Providing a curriculum aligned to Common Core State Standards and targeting college and career readiness Promoting critical thinking skills through research‑based instructional practices and strategies Incorporating inquiry‑based research skills aligned to Common Core State Standards Providing students with study skills and strategies in preparation for college Qualifications 3+ years of experience preferred; new graduates may be considered Meet regulated licensure and/or state certification requirements Knowledge of school counseling programs and student services Ability to interpret and analyze academic, cognitive, and achievement data Strong verbal and written communication skills Ability to provide individual and small‑group counseling Familiarity with Common Core State Standards and college/career readiness programs Ability to collaborate with teachers and administrators Equal Opportunity Employer All qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to age, race, creed, color, national origin, ancestry, marital status, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, disability, nationality or sex. #J-18808-Ljbffr 3Energy Management GmbH
