Overview
Radiation Therapist (Radiation Therapy Tech) in Lancaster, Ohio, US. This travel - temporary assignment runs for 6 weeks beginning 06/29/2026, with a weekly pay range of $2,206 to $2,383 and guaranteed 40 hours per week. Schedule is Monday through Friday, dayshift, 8:00 am–4:30 pm, in a short-term acute care hospital setting.

Responsibilities
- Deliver prescribed radiotherapy according to physician orders, including treatment planning and beam setup, using appropriate equipment and immobilization devices.
- Position patients accurately, perform verification and port film exposures as directed, and coordinate with the physicist at treatment initiation.
- Obtain patient history, explain procedures, answer questions, and monitor for unusual reactions or events during treatment.
- Follow departmental and hospital policies, safety, infection control, and quality assurance standards; maintain clear documentation.
- Schedule treatments, document evaluation results and progress, and communicate with nurses, social workers, and other care team members as needed.
- Reinforce patient education regarding treatment expectations, potential side effects, and care of the irradiated area; contribute to ongoing quality improvement efforts.

Requirements
- Education: A minimum of an associate degree in radiography with certification in radiation therapy; a bachelor’s degree in radiation therapy is preferred. Graduate of a JRCERT-accredited program; ARRT-registered in Radiation Therapy.
- Licensure/Certifications: State of Ohio licensed radiation therapist; ARRT certification; CPR certification.
- Experience: 1–2 years of radiation therapy experience is preferred.
- Additional: Ability to work in a hospital-based setting; strong interpersonal and communication skills; capacity to manage multiple priorities and make independent decisions.
