Structural Designer - REVIT

Position Summary

Genesis is seeking a  Structural Designer to support the development of structural designs, drawings, models, and construction documents for industrial, commercial, and other building projects. The position works closely with structural engineers, architects, and other design disciplines to deliver accurate, constructible, and code-compliant structural solutions.

Key Responsibilities

• Create and modify structural drawings and 3D models using  Revit and AutoCAD.
• Develop structural plans, elevations, sections, details, and construction documents.
• Assist engineers with the design and detailing of steel, concrete, masonry, and other structural systems.
• Coordinate structural models and drawings with architectural, mechanical, electrical, civil, and other disciplines.
• Review drawings and models for accuracy, completeness, and constructability.
• Interpret engineering calculations, specifications, architectural plans, and project requirements.
• Participate in design coordination meetings and resolve interdisciplinary conflicts.
• Incorporate engineering revisions and maintain accurate project documentation.
• Assist with field measurements, site visits, and documentation of existing conditions when required.
• Follow company drafting standards, project specifications, and applicable building codes.

Required Qualifications

• Proficiency in Autodesk Revit is required.
• Experience creating and modifying structural models and drawings in Revit.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD or comparable drafting software.
• Ability to read and interpret structural and architectural drawings.
• Knowledge of structural drafting and detailing practices.
• Understanding of construction methods and structural systems.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to meet project deadlines.
• Effective communication and teamwork skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Associate's or bachelor's degree in structural drafting, engineering, technology, civil engineering, drafting, or a related field.
• Experience with structural steel and reinforced-concrete detailing.
• Experience with industrial, commercial, or multidisciplinary projects.
• Familiarity with BIM coordination and 3D modeling.
• Experience with Bluebeam or similar construction-document software.
• Knowledge of applicable building codes and structural design standards.
