Contract | Night Shift | 12-Hour Shifts (1845–0715) | No Self-Scheduling

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in an ICU setting with nurse-to-patient ratios of 1:2 or 1:1
• Manage critically ill patients including cardiac, sepsis, stroke, CABG, ETOH, craniotomy, and post-PACU cases
• Administer and monitor complex drip therapies including vasopressors, nitroglycerin, heparin, and others
• Operate and monitor ventilators and GE hardwired bedside monitoring systems using Cerner PowerChart EMR
• Float as needed to Telemetry and the Emergency Department for ICU holds
• Uphold high standards of patient satisfaction through skilled, competent, and compassionate care

Required Qualifications

• Active RN license valid in the state of California
• BLS certification required
• ACLS certification required
• NIHSS certification required
• Minimum 3 years of ICU experience; candidates from large institutions may be considered with 2+ years of experience
• Ability to work every other weekend (Friday, Saturday, and Sunday) and holidays as needed per staff rotation

Preferred Experience / Skills

• CCRN certification preferred
• Prior travel nursing experience preferred
• Experience with vasopressor management, ventilator care, balloon pumps, and cath lab recovery patients
• Familiarity with Cerner PowerChart EMR
