FAA - Production AssemblerLocation: Oro Valley Employment Type: Temp To Hire Schedule: 1st Shift Pay Rate: $20.00/HrSAFETY SENSITIVE ROLE - SUBJECT TO RANDOM DRUG TESTING Position Summary The Assembler 3 position performs disassembly, assembly, re-work and minimum testing of various electrical/electronic equipmentResponsibilitiesUse electric solder equipment to IPC-A-610B standardCut, prepare and pre-tin wires, prepare batteries, apply conformal coat, marking and adhesive bondingFollow written and verbal instructionsComplete work according to instructions, specifications and procedures, under direct and/or limited supervisionPerform a variety of complex mechanical and/or electromechanical assembly operations in accordance with company instructions and proceduresConduct inspections of own and/or other associates work to insure correctness in accordance with company and/or customer drawingMinimum testing of various electrical/electronic equipment, as neededMaintain a clean and orderly workstation adhering to 5S standardsMaintain an acceptable safety recordMaintain an acceptable attendance record. Regular, consistent and punctual attendance is required. May need to work nights and weekends, variable schedule(s) and additional hours as necessaryAdhere to all company guidelines, policies and proceduresAble and willing to comply with Drug-Free Workplace policies and pass all related drug/alcohol screenings as requiredAssist other departments with job duties, tasks, training, and development as neededOther responsibilities as assignedPhysical RequirementsApproximately 90% sitting and 10% standing/walking about in-door company facilitiesLift and Carry up to 35 lbsUse head and neck in static position, looking up/down and side-to-sidePerform light lifting from floor, table and shelfUse hand tools, power tools and electric soldering gunPerform major hand grasping and fine finger manipulations using both handsPush and pull carts or mobile tables, loaded and unloadedMinimal: heavy lifting from floor or higher, bending, twisting, climbing, lifting arms above shoulders, kneelingMinimal: exposure to excessive noise, hazardous chemicals, hazardous equipment, uneven walking surfacesTyping with computer and keyboardQualificationsGood mechanical aptitudeAble to operate a variety of hand tools, power tools, electric soldering gun and light machinery; Proficient in using the tools, equipment, and inspection aids applicable to the scope of work assignedCapable of performing basic mathematicsAbility to read and interpret company documents, such as safety rules, operating/ manufacturing instructions, policies and procedureGood manual dexterity required to work with small partsAble to problem-solve using existing procedures to perform straightforward tasksEffective oral, written and interpersonal skillsMust be able to work all shifts and available for overtime and weekends as neededAble to perform complex mechanical and/or electromechanical assembly operationCapable of solving problems in situations that are atypical or infrequently occurring based on existing precedents or proceduresSkilled at simple welding tasks and/or brazing, or solderingExperience with MS Office SuiteEducation: High School Diploma or equivalentCertifications: N/AYears of Experience: Minimum 5 years of prior related work experience in an electrical/avionics manufacturing/testing environment or completed OJT training for at least 10 productsNesco Resource offers a comprehensive benefits package for our associates, which includes a MEC (Minimum Essential Coverage) plan that encompasses Medical, Vision, Dental, 401K, and EAP (Employee Assistance Program) services.
