Assistant Swim Coach

Assistant Swim Coach Year‑round, Part‑Time Position (Temporary, Non‑Benefited) Salary: $22.00 - $24.00 per hour. Schedule School Year August – May: 12 to 20 hours per week, Monday through Thursday 4:00 PM - 8:00 PM; Fridays 4:00 PM - 6:30 PM. Occasional weekends as needed for swim meets. Summer June & July: 18 to 30 hours per week, Monday to Friday 4:00 PM - 8:00 PM and Saturdays for swim meets. Essential Functions Lead participants in planned workouts provided by the Head Coach. Provide feedback to athletes to improve swimming techniques. Assist in the development of the Splash Aquatics program to foster personal and athletic growth among participants. Communicate effectively to supervisors and coaching staff. Keep participants and parents informed about progress. Inform Aquatics Coordinator and/or supervisor of any safety issues or concerns. Ensure safety of all program participants by enforcing pool policies and rules; submit accident/incident reports within 24 hours. Perform rescues, administer first aid, perform CPR, and summon supervisors and emergency personnel as required. Promote team spirit and good sportsmanship at all times. Perform related duties as assigned. Qualifications Graduated from high school or GED equivalent. Proficient in English for verbal and written communication; bilingual desirable. Education High school or GED equivalent required. Experience Desirable: previous experience as Swim Coach or Water Polo Coach. Certificates Red Cross Lifeguard, First Aid and CPR certifications, and Safety Training for Swim Coaches must be obtained within three months after hire. USA Swimming Coach certification within three months after hire. Special Requirements Availability as scheduled in the Schedule section. Willing to work outdoors in varying weather conditions. Physically capable of sustained walking, standing, or climbing. Willing to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
