Nurse Practitioner / Physician Assistant (APP) - Family Medicine

Job Overview Delivers comprehensive, high‑quality primary care to a population in an outpatient setting. The ARNP focuses on prevention, chronic disease management, and health promotion and collaborates with physicians, RNs, pharmacists, social workers, behavioral health specialists and other professionals. Responsibilities Conduct comprehensive assessments, diagnose conditions, develop plans, and prescribe medications for patients across the lifespan Diagnose and treat acute and chronic disease using evidence‑based guidelines Refer to specialists when necessary Participate in clinic coverage for colleagues and after‑hours call coverage as per departmental guidance Maintain timely and accurate documentation of all patient encounters and asynchronous care Ensure comprehensive primary care for a population, including risk assessment and preventive care, and oversight for optimal management of chronic conditions such as cardiovascular‑kidney‑metabolic syndrome Use data and risk stratification to identify high‑risk patients for outreach and gap closure Support transitions of care to reduce readmissions and ED use Engage proactively in quality improvement initiatives to enhance care delivery and outcomes Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams of physicians/APPs, RNs, pharmacists, and care coordinators/community health workers Demonstrate the MultiCare values of compassion, stewardship, kindness, joy, collaboration, and respect Adhere to MultiCare policies and procedures Qualifications Active Washington State Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant license DEA registration and state prescriptive authority Current BLS for Healthcare Providers certification (American Heart Association) Minimum of two years’ experience as a primary care provider preferred Benefits Competitive compensation package with potential sign‑on and relocation assistance Comprehensive benefits including medical, dental, annual leave, CME, retirement, and malpractice insurance Generous paid time off for work/life balance Career growth options with leadership opportunities Research opportunities with the MultiCare Institute for Research & Innovation Wellness program including dedicated mental health services and coaching 24/7 nurse triage service with limited on‑call requirements Support of a 300+ provider multi‑specialty group and a dedicated medical assistant per provider Epic EMR and AI assistance to support efficiency Pay range $146,400.00 – $155,000.00 USD; union contract terms applied where applicable Contact Mike Stevens – Email: View email address on click.appcast.io for more information.
