Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Operating Room Duration: 26 weeks Shift: Day Hours per Shift: 12 hours Experience: Minimum 2 years in acute care experience within the last 3 years in the specialty. License: Current RN License Certifications: BLS Must-Have: - Previous charge experience preferred. - Experience with Epic charting system required. - Trauma level experience preferred. - Travel experience required. Description: Shift options include day shifts from 0640 to 1910 and potential evening shifts from 0940 to 2210 biweekly. Weekday and weekend call required. Responsibilities include assisting with various surgeries in the operating room. Skills needed include proficiency in robotic surgeries, administration of blood products, and various gynecological and urological procedures. The role also requires knowledge of infection control, specimen handling, and code response procedures. Candidates must demonstrate experience with laparoscopic assisted procedures and general OR protocols. Ensuring a high standard of patient care and safety throughout surgical procedures is essential. The department provides interdisciplinary support and is involved in special procedures like kidney transplant and robotic surgery. Travelers may be required to float as needed based on unit requirements.
