Minimum 6 months Paraprofessional or Special Education experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
Support students and classrooms in a school setting as a dedicated paraprofessional. This contract position is intended for candidates who are renewing their current assignment—please do not submit new applicants. The role offers an opportunity to continue making a direct impact on students' daily learning experiences and provides valuable classroom support to teachers and staff.
Key Qualifications:
- Previous experience in a paraprofessional or similar supportive role in educational environments.
- Ability to work collaboratively with teachers, staff, and students.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Patience, reliability, and a commitment to fostering an inclusive and positive learning atmosphere.
- Adherence to school policies and procedures, ensuring student safety and well-being.
- Relevant certifications and clearances required for educational support personnel.
Responsibilities:
- Provide classroom support by assisting teachers with instructional activities and student supervision.
- Support individual students or small groups with assignments and behavior management.
- Implement strategies and accommodations specified in students’ individualized plans.
- Help monitor and encourage student participation and engagement in classroom activities.
- Assist with classroom organization, preparation of materials, and activities as directed by teaching staff.
- Maintain confidentiality and professionalism at all times.
