Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care on a 42-bed Medical Surgical unit serving medical, surgical, and orthopedic patient populations
• Manage a patient assignment of 1:6–7 under a dyad care model, working alongside a dedicated CNA and the support of a virtual nurse
• Administer and monitor titratable Heparin drips as needed; collaborate with Respiratory Therapy available 24 hours on the unit
• Monitor telemetry in coordination with a centralized telemetry station
• Participate in a classroom orientation week followed by two 12-hour supervised shifts on the unit; must pass a required open-book skills exam with a score of 90% or higher
• Float to PCU or Burn units as required; adhere to weekend and holiday scheduling requirements as needed

Required Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) licensure
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
• Valid driver's license required at time of submittal
• Ability to achieve a minimum score of 90% on the required open-book orientation exam
• Compliance with facility fingernail policy: artificial nails are prohibited in all patient care areas
• Must not be currently employed full-time, part-time, or PRN at any CommonSpirit-affiliated facility

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Prior experience in a Medical Surgical, orthopedic, or similar acute care setting
• Familiarity with telemetry monitoring and centralized telemetry systems
• Experience working within team-based or dyad nursing care models
