Location 165 Somerset Street, New Brunswick, NJ 08901 Job Details Job Title: RN Department: Oncology Unit - MCC-9 Facility: RWJ New Brunswick Shift: Day Status: Hourly Pay Range: $47.85 - $71.72 per hour Req #: 0000247759 Job Overview RWJBarnabas Health is seeking a highly dedicated Registered Nurse for our 32‑bed Oncology Unit (MCC‑9) at the Morris Cancer Center in New Brunswick. All 32 beds are private rooms, and you will care for a variety of medical oncology, surgical oncology, other blood disorders, and intermediate‑care patients. Essential Functions The Registered Nurse provides nursing care within the scope of practice defined by the Nurse Practice Act and regulatory standards, and assures ethical compliance as defined by the ANA code of ethics. The Registered Nurse safeguards patient safety, applies evidence‑based practice, and continually advances knowledge through communication with and utilization of resources and programs. The Registered Nurse reports identified safety issues such as hazardous environments and medical errors. The Registered Nurse maintains knowledge of the patient population served. The Registered Nurse supervises and directs delegation of tasks to appropriate team members and collaborates with other patient‑care providers. The Registered Nurse consistently sets and evaluates priorities through appropriate interventions with measurable outcomes toward improvement. The Registered Nurse serves as an individual practitioner and interdisciplinary team manager, utilizing the nursing process to integrate all aspects of care and individualize each patient’s plan of care.
