Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in a Level 4 trauma emergency department managing a diverse patient census of 80–110 patients per day
• Manage general ED patients at a 1:4 ratio and critical/ICU-level ED patients at a 1:2 or 1:1 ratio depending on acuity
• Perform and interpret telemetry strips independently; conduct EKGs during night shifts
• Administer conscious sedation and manage ED holds intermixed within the department
• Triage patients independently upon demonstrated competency, utilizing an intake model for lower-acuity patients
• Troubleshoot respiratory equipment including ventilators, BiPAP, CPAP, and high-flow devices, escalating to Respiratory Therapy as needed

Required Qualifications

• Active RN license in good standing
• Minimum 2 years of emergency department experience
• Current ACLS, PALS, and TNCC certifications
• Demonstrated competency in conscious sedation
• Experience with AMI management and critical thinking in high-acuity environments
• Ability to manage common ED diagnoses including chest pain, abdominal pain, minor trauma, and respiratory distress

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience working in a STEMI-receiving or stroke center environment
• Familiarity with phlebotomy and lab draw procedures in an ED setting
• Prior travel nursing experience in an emergency department
