About the Role:

Wilson Building & Development is hiring an experienced Excavator Operator for site and civil work in the West Palm Beach area. This is a steady, full-time position on an active jobsite with a crew that shows up and gets it done. If you can run a machine clean, hit grade, and keep the job moving, we want to talk.

What You'll Be Doing:

• Operate hydraulic excavators for mass excavation, trenching, backfill, and grading
• Dig and bed underground utilities — storm, water, sewer — to line and grade
• Load trucks, move and stockpile material, and handle general site cleanup
• Work off stakes, grade hubs, and plan sheets; take direction from the foreman and superintendent
• Perform daily pre-trip inspections, greasing, fluid checks, and basic field maintenance
• Follow all OSHA, trench safety, and company safety requirements, including proper spotting and locating before you dig

What We're Looking For:

• Ability to dig to grade and read stakes, cut sheets, and basic plans
• Solid understanding of trench safety, utility locates, and jobsite hazard awareness
• Dependable transportation and a strong attendance record — we start early
• Able to work outdoors in South Florida conditions and lift up to 50 lbs. as needed
• Valid driver's license

Preferred but not required:

• Experience with GPS/machine control
• Ability to run other equipment — dozer, loader, skid steer, backhoe
• OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 certification
• CDL Class A or B
• Bilingual English/Spanish
