Project Engineer / Project Manager
We are seeking a detail-oriented Project Engineer / Project Manager to support construction projects from pre-construction through closeout, within the concrete industry. This role focuses on planning, coordination, cost control, and ensuring successful project execution.
Key Responsibilities
Pre-Construction
- Lead project handoff and review scope, plans, and specifications
- Identify issues, create RFIs, and recommend value engineering solutions
- Manage submittals, including review of rebar, mix designs, and shop drawings
- Develop schedules, material plans, and pour sequences
- Coordinate with Superintendent on equipment, logistics, and timelines
Project Execution
- Attend project meetings and track progress
- Monitor labor, budget, and schedule performance
- Manage change orders and coordinate with estimating
- Communicate with clients regarding updates, delays, and issues
Closeout
- Analyze project performance and identify lessons learned
- Prepare final reports and secure client sign-off
- Archive project documentation
Qualifications
- Degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or equivalent experience
- Must have experience in the concrete industry
- Experience in construction project coordination or management
- Strong knowledge of drawings, scheduling, and cost control
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
