We are looking for a Senior Cost Estimator in any of our Lochner / Egis offices with preferences in Denver, Oklahoma, Seattle, Austin or Los Angeles offices. The Impact Youll Make (Job Responsibilities) Prepare detailed cost estimates at the preliminary, intermediate, final, and release-for-construction stages of design. Review estimates prepared by consultants and contractors. Prepare cost estimates for analyzing value engineering studies. Assist in constructability reviews. Support negotiations for settling contract change modifications and potential claims. Qualifications The Expertise Youll Bring (Qualifications) Bachelor s Degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or related field 10 or more years of estimating experience Diversified experience in transportation projects with emphasis on rail, highway and aviation Transit agency owner costs experience preferred Experience with estimating software (HCSS Heavybid preferred) Professional Certifications preferred Familiarity with FTA (Federal Transit Administration) guidelines and funding requirements Proficiency in industry-standard estimating software (such as: HCSS HeavyBid Bluebeam or similar tools Agtek Strong understanding of: Construction methods and materials Project delivery methods (Design-Bid-Build, Design-Build, CM/GC, PDB) Transit project components and systems Why You'll Thrive at Egis At Egis, you'll do more than build your career—you'll help shape the future of infrastructure. As part of our commitment to an open and equitable hiring process, we've included the anticipated base salary range for this position below. Anticipated Base Salary Range: $110,000 – $195,000 annually. We're committed to making competitive offers that recognize the unique experience, expertise, and value each candidate brings to our team. In addition to base salary, this position may be eligible for incentive compensation, where applicable, as well as professional development opportunities, and other employee programs.
