MAINTENANCE I - CRANE MECHANIC

Company: C & B Piping Inc, Leeds, Alabama. About the Crane Mechanic Role C&B Piping, LLC is seeking a reliable and experienced Crane Mechanic/Technician to join our maintenance team. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced, high-volume environment, works independently, and prioritizes safety while keeping our operations running smoothly. Key Responsibilities Diagnose, repair, inspect, and perform preventative maintenance on overhead cranes, hoists, and other industrial equipment. Maintain mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems. Diagnose malfunctions, complete repairs, and document work in a timely manner. Conduct safety inspections and ensure equipment complies with company and OSHA standards. Maintain accurate maintenance and inspection records. Work independently and with maintenance and operations teams to minimize downtime. Assist with installations, upgrades, modifications, and additional maintenance duties as assigned. Maintain a clean, safe, and orderly work environment. Qualifications and Experience Previous experience as a crane technician, industrial mechanic, or similar role (highly preferred). Knowledge of mechanical and electrical systems, including troubleshooting motors, controls, drives, and heavy machinery. Ability to read and interpret electrical and technical drawings and manuals. Strong knowledge of OSHA regulations and safety standards. Ability to prioritize tasks and work independently. High School diploma or equivalent required; technical training or certificates preferred. Strong attention to detail, dependable, and dedicated to quality work. Physical and Work Environment Lift up to 50 lbs and use equipment safely. Perform bending, standing, kneeling, and other physical tasks for extended periods. Work comfortably indoors and outdoors in varying temperatures. Work at varying heights and climb ladders safely.
