Medical AssistantThe Cook Family Health Center provides primary healthcare services for Bloomington-area Cook Group company employees and their families.OverviewThe Medical Assistant at the Cook Family Health Center provides high-quality patient care by supporting providers and patients through various tasks related to patient care management, organization, and communication.ResponsibilitiesMust be available evenings until 6pm and rotating Saturday's until 12:30pPatient Intake & Assisting ProviderSetting up equipment and assisting during exams and proceduresCollecting lab specimensPhlebotomyPatient Education & CommunicationAdminister medication/InjectionsSchedule outside appointmentsOrder stockManage disposal of biohazardsElectrocardiogramSterile techniqueClean and stock exam rooms/labElectronic Health Records data entryQualificationsHigh School Diploma or equivalent requiredBasic knowledge of medical terminology required1-2 years required technician experience in medical office environment; primary care preferredCurrent CMA or LPN preferredMicrosoft Office suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) experiencePrevious multi-line phone & customer service experiencePhysical Requirements/Work Environment:Ability to walk & stand for long periods of timeAble to bend, stoop, kneel or crouchUtilizes close visual acuity for working with computers, equipment, etc.Able to lift 20+ pounds occasionally
