Organizational Location: This position is with the Department of Homeland Security, within U.S. Customs and Border Protection, Office of Facilities and Asset Management, Mission Support Facilities Division, 1 vacancy in Presidio, TX. Duties The Enterprise Facilities Support (EFS) PMO is comprised of three branches – Facilities and Infrastructure Management, Housing, and Program Management. These branches are responsible for the planning, development, and execution of facility projects, handling maintenance and repairs, and coordinating/evaluating Facility Condition Assessments (FCAs) for all mission support facilities outside of the National Capital Region (NCR), including CBP’s portfolio of residential housing. This position starts at a salary of $106,437.00 (GS‑13, Step 1) to $138,370.00 (GS‑13, Step 10). GS Salary: Visit this link to view the locality pay tables by geographic area. Typical work assignments include: Being responsible for independently managing the housing program operations, which includes, but is not limited to, administrative, fiscal, short and long‑term housing needs, and maintenance management of government furnished housing program. Monitoring the housing maintenance work orders by ensuring they are properly completed to assure reasonable standards are maintained. Providing oversight related to approving minor repairs. Performing inspections of various vendor services. Keeping supervisor abreast of situations and developments which affect the housing management program and providing possible solutions or ideas to ward off potential problems. Qualifications Experience GS‑13: You qualify for the GS‑13 grade level if you possess 1 year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the next lower grade level, performing duties such as: Managing operations of a housing program, including administrative functions, assessment of housing needs, and maintenance of housing facilities. Conducting site visits and performing housing inspections to ensure compliance with standards. Coordinating with supervisors on rehabilitation, new construction, acquisition, movement, removal of structures, upkeep, repair, pre‑occupancy, periodic inspections, appliances for all quarters, utilities, cleaning, damage charges, and suitability for proposed new housing. Evaluating and making recommendations to management regarding plans and program management strategies.
