Salary to be determined by the education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities of the applicant, internal equity, and alignment with market data.Job DescriptionProviding on-site development and supporting to the Ship's Signal Exploitation Equipment (SSEE) Family of SystemsIdentifying, de conflicting and orchestrating integration of competing software branchesRefactoring legacy Java/JavaScript code for efficiency enhancementsBuilding modular and highly re-usable codeSelf-directing research, including decomposition of existing systems and design of new systems and configurationsResearching and implementing integrations between various new/existing systems to provide new functionalityTroubleshooting existing Java codeResearching and recommending new innovative system features as well as improvements for existing system functionalityRequirementsMinimum of two plus (2+) years of software development experienceCoding experience in one or more of the following:JavaPythonNode.jsExperience developing/integrating Restful APIsExperience with CI/CD pipeline common tools (Jenkins, Artifactory, SonarQube, BitBucket or similar) and practicesMust currently hold a DoD 8570-compliant IAT II certification (SSCP or Security+ CE with appropriate CE/OS certificate) or be able to obtain within six monthsHave developed communication skills and the ability to express thoughts and ideas clearly and concisely, employing technical writing techniquesMust be a team player, dedicated to program support, capable of multitasking and working several complex and diverse tasks with simultaneous or near simultaneous deadlinesBe a self-starter who is accountable and requires minimal direction and supervision; a person who is open to new ideasDesired SkillsExperience with multi-threaded, asynchronous or event driven codeFamiliarization with container conceptsExperience with cloud technology platforms such as AWS, Azure and/or Google CloudExperience with real-time streaming data and/or socket programmingExperience with RedHat based LinuxExperience creating and deploying Linux servicesExperience creating and deploying an RPMUnderstanding of network fundamentalsClearance InformationSRC IS A CONTRACTOR FOR THE U.S. GOVERNMENT.
