Registered Nurse - PACU/Preop

Location: Los Alamos, NM

Assignment Duration: This is a 13-week contract position.

Schedule: Day shifts with some on-call coverage on nights and weekends.

Job Description: We are seeking an experienced Registered Nurse specializing in PACU and Preop care. The RN will primarily work in a fast-paced environment, providing care for adult patients post-anesthesia, ensuring their safety and comfort before discharge.

Responsibilities:

• Providing post-operative care to patients transitioning from anesthesia.
• Monitoring patients' recovery and vital signs, ensuring timely interventions as needed.
• Collaborating with the surgical team for optimal patient outcomes.
• Documentation of patient care and compliance with safety regulations.
• Serving as a resource for patients and families regarding recovery processes.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure:

• Minimum of 2 years of PACU experience required.
• Current BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications are mandatory.
• Must be licensed as a Registered Nurse in the state of New Mexico.
