Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Medical-Surgical/Telemetry Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Day Hours per Shift: 12 hours (07:00 - 19:30) Experience: Minimum 2 years in Emergency Department License: Valid RN Licensure Certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS Must-Have: - Ability to float to Medical-Surgical/Telemetry when not utilized in the Emergency Department - Knowledge of evidence-based practice - Skills in pathophysiology and pharmacological implications Description: This position is for a Registered Nurse who will hold in the Emergency Department. The RN will float to Medical-Surgical/Telemetry when not actively utilized in the ED holding area. The candidate must demonstrate understanding of evidence-based practice. They should possess knowledge of pathophysiology and pharmacological implications. The role requires accurate and thorough documentation of assessments and clinical procedures. The RN will perform various procedures such as IV insertions, Foley catheter placements, and wound dressings. Effective patient and family education will be part of the responsibilities. Candidates must meet standards in proper use of telemonitoring and safe medication administration. Recognizing changes in patient condition is essential. The RN will act as a patient advocate and report errors and near misses. Candidates should be comfortable working independently as well as part of a team. A professional appearance must be maintained at all times. The candidate should complete tasks within designated timeframes. The RN will accept constructive feedback and take initiative in conducting necessary follow-up. This position requires flexibility, including weekend rotations. No on-call duties are required.
