Location: Remote, anywhere in California Responsibilities Handle a full caseload of workers' compensation defense matters from the initial filing through final resolution Represent employers, insurance carriers, self-insured entities, and TPAs in all phases of litigation Take and defend depositions Appear before the WCAB for MSCs, lien conferences, hearings, and trials Shape case strategy and advise clients on practical next steps Negotiate and close out settlements efficiently Keep clients in the loop with responsive, trustworthy communication Work closely with fellow attorneys and support staff to deliver strong outcomes Qualifications Active, good-standing California State Bar license At least one year of hands-on experience defending workers' compensation claims in California Solid grasp of California workers' comp law and WCAB procedure Comfortable and capable in depositions, negotiations, and the courtroom Able to run a caseload independently, with minimal oversight Clear, confident communicator, both written and verbal Organized, with a handle on managing deadlines and competing priorities About the Firm This firm runs on trust, support, and room to grow.
