Material Handler I - Dist

Job Description Job Summary Schedule: 2 nd Shift - Monday - Friday - 3:30 PM - 2:00 AM (based on business needs and job completions which could include overtime both during the week and on weekends) Supports Operations by moving and stocking materials and finished products to designated areas in the facility. Essential Job Functions Ability to use a hand scanner Picks-up incoming materials from the Receiving dock Unloads and puts away stock in the Bulk storage area Provides replenishment materials to workstations in a timely manner Pulls and stocks correct product to appropriate boxes and pick locations Transfers finished products to designated areas Stacks empty skids and pallets in designated areas Operates a manual and/or motorized pallet jack Uses knowledge and experience to resolve basic operating problems; reports other problems to manger Employees are expected and encouraged to participate in safety and health program activities including immediately reporting hazards, immediately reporting unsafe work practices and incidents to supervisors, wearing required personal protective equipment, and participating in and supporting safety committee activities. Education & Experience High School diploma or GED equivalent required, or equivalent combination of education and experience Competencies – Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Familiarity with part numbering systems is a plus. Able to operate a pallet jack, forklift, order picker and Drexel. Able to work accurately from verbal and written instructions. Operational Equipment Hand-held RF Scanner, manual/motorized pallet jack Work Environment and Physical Demands Material Handler: Must be forklift operation certified. Standing on concrete floors up to 8 hrs/day. Exposure to loud noise. Functional vision and hearing required. Physical Demands Material Handler: Medium - Heavy, lifting up to 70 lbs.
