Job Opportunity – Registered Nurse, Medical Surgical – Pocatello, ID 83201

Start Date: August 17, 2026

Location: Pocatello, Idaho

Schedule: Night shift, 3x12-hour shifts (19:00 - 07:00), weekend coverage required (2 shifts per pay period, flexible with department needs). Patient ratio 1:6. Float to other units as needed based on competencies.

Highlights:

• 13-week travel assignment in a 48-bed medical surgical unit with diverse patient population
• Comprehensive interdisciplinary support including IV teams, physical therapy, respiratory services, pharmacy, and rapid response teams
• Epic charting system with 24-36 hours of orientation provided
• Opportunity to care for a wide variety of patient diagnoses including sepsis, COPD, trauma, cardiac conditions, post-operative care, and more
• Work with adult and geriatric patient populations in a dynamic acute care environment

Requirements:

• Active RN license (state or compact license required at time of submission)
• Current BLS certification
• Minimum 2 years of medical surgical nursing experience preferred
• Previous travel nursing experience preferred
• Epic charting system experience required
• Experience with 1:6 patient ratios
• Proficiency in core med/surg skills including IV management, blood product administration, wound care, tracheostomy care, chest tube management, and isolation precautions
• Must reside outside 100-mile radius of the area
