GM Certified TechnicianThe primary responsibility of this position is to perform repair and service on customer and dealership vehicles within management's guidelines for productivity, safety and efficiency.Responsibilities described in this section are fundamental to success in this position.Receive the repair or service order in a timely mannerPerform the appropriate diagnostic testing as required and relay required repair information in a timely manner for approval by customer or dealership managementInform management of any additional or proposed work to vehicle for relay to customerComplete all repairs and service orders accurately and in a timely manner per management guidelinesComply with all safety guidelines and policies including the handling of hazardous waste and good housekeepingComplete all required training and certification coursesStrive to preserve customer relations through attentive, thorough and respectful response to stated needsUses personal device to provide an additional layer of security for company network and site access through multi-factor authentication.Other responsibilities as assignedThe requirements listed below are the minimum degrees, certifications, knowledge, skill, and/or ability required of this position.Valid driver's license without restrictions that affects your ability to operate company owned vehicle(s) and ability to maintain a clean driving record.High School Education and 2 years' experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.Completion of a technical program preferred.The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.Good interpersonal, time management and organizational skillsAbility to identify and achieve targeted goalsExcellent written and verbal communication skills and the ability to understand verbal and written instructions and warning labelsAbility to work well with a range of individualsAbility to prioritize multiple jobsAbility to clearly communicate with customers and coworkers alike to ensure an excellent customer experienceAbility to work independently and/or as part of a teamAbility to effectively respond to inbound and outbound phone callsStrong attention to detail, professional demeanor, and a positive 'can do' attitudeThe physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand; walk and talk or hearThe employee is frequently required to sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; climb or balance and stoop, kneel or crouchThe employee will frequently be exposed to neck flexion/extension, head/neck rotation, awkward shoulder/arm positions, and frequent and/or sustained awkward wrist positions.
