Role Description The Associate Therapist will provide individual, couple, and family therapy, delivering depth-oriented, compassionate clinical care aligned with Nido IFT’s values and psychodyanmic/psychoanalytic focus. Day-to-day responsibilities include conducting therapy sessions, maintaining timely and accurate clinical documentation, marketing, networking, and collaborating with the clinical team on cases. The therapist will participate in regular supervision, trainings, and team meetings, and engage in ongoing professional development. This is a full-time hybrid role based in Costa Mesa, CA. Qualifications Licensed or registered as a Marriage & Family Associate (AMFT) in California and in good standing with the relevant licensing board. Demonstrated skills in providing individual, couple, and family psychotherapy, including conducting assessments and creating treatment plans. Familiarity with psychoanalytic or psychodynamic approaches, and comittment to utilzing this framework. Strong clinical documentation, case management, and organizational skills to manage caseload and maintain compliance with ethical and legal standards. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build therapeutic rapport and maintain appropriate professional boundaries. Commitment to personal growth, self-reflection, and self-care, including openness to ongoing supervision, consultation, and training. Experience or interest in working with diverse populations and a demonstrated commitment to culturally responsive, trauma-informed care. Comfort with using electronic health records and basic technology tools for telehealth and scheduling. Ability to work a consistent full-time schedule in a hybrid format, with regular in-person hours in Costa Mesa, CA.
