Associate Microbiologist

Job Responsibilities Independently perform routine test article/product preparation and execute routine testing, following NAMSA SOPs and applicable work instructions. Prepare or participate in the preparation of test specifications in conjunction with applicable standards and/or client instructions. Maintain direct client contact as needed. Review incoming test articles and paperwork for appropriateness and accuracy, and raise concerns to management as required. Accurately collect and record raw data in logbooks and on worksheets. Check laboratory equipment, remain on‑call, and respond to continuous monitoring alarms as applicable. If needed, respond in accordance with criteria outlined in SOPs. Perform required specific testing as applicable. Operate specified laboratory equipment as applicable. Perform environmental monitoring, and clean and disinfect cleanroom suites when required. Complete other duties as assigned. Qualifications High School diploma or equivalent with at least 3 years of experience, or a Bachelor’s degree with at least 1 year of experience. Sound judgment, effective decision‑making skills, and the ability to solve problems or appropriately escalation. Technical Competencies Awareness of applicable guidelines and regulations including USP, ISO, CTFA, FSA. Knowledge of metric system, NAMSA GLP and/or GMP testing, scientific applications, experimental design, and data evaluation. Ability to work in a GLP/GMP environment. Compensation Hourly rate: $28.00–$35.00 (per the compensation grade range of $21.88–$42.55). Base pay may vary depending on location, responsibility level, job duties, and relevant experience. Working Conditions Physical demands include walking, standing, or sitting for prolonged periods. Extensive use of computer keyboard to operate computer equipment.
