Job Summary
Medical Surgical Oncology Floor RN / MS ONC Days - 11/09/2026 to 02/08/2027. This role involves providing specialized nursing care within an inpatient oncology unit treating all types of cancer across various phases of care. The position offers opportunities to administer inpatient chemotherapy regimens, support post-operative oncology patients, and collaborate with interdisciplinary teams in a teaching, Level 1 trauma hospital.

Job Details

• Certifications: BLS, Chemotherapy (ONS/ONCC) required.
• Education Requirements: Valid RN license.
• Experience Requirements: Minimum of 2 years of oncology experience required. Charge nurse experience and previous teaching hospital experience preferred.
• Location Requirements: Candidates must have a minimum of 75 miles from the facility. Pending license acceptance required.
• Schedule: Days shift, 12-hour shifts, minimum of 36 hours per week.
• Responsibilities include administering inpatient chemotherapy, managing oncologic emergencies, providing psychosocial support and patient education, and caring for patients with various cancer diagnoses such as breast, lung, lymphoma, and others.
• Additional clinical skills involve port care, IV therapy, central line management, wound care, symptom management, and handling of complex medication administration including blood products and coagulation factors.
• The role involves ceremony floating within scope to meet facility needs, including charge nurse duties and holiday shifts.
• Submission requirement: Candidates must complete all mandatory compliance documentation 2 Fridays prior to start date and relevant modules, including EPIC training, by specified deadlines.
