Immediate opening for a  Receiving Technician in  Vista, CA who possesses:

• 3+ years of tenure in a receiving role
• Experience with an ERP system
• Ability to work Monday through Friday from 6:00 AM to 2:30 PM

FULL DESCRIPTION:   We are seeking a Receiving Technician to support receiving, inventory, documentation, and light quality control activities within a manufacturing environment. This role is responsible for receiving materials, verifying quantities and documentation, updating ERP/MRP systems, maintaining inventory records, and supporting material flow throughout production. The ideal candidate will have strong receiving experience, attention to detail, ERP experience, and the ability to work independently in a hands-on manufacturing environment.

The selected candidate will be responsible for:

• Receiving incoming materials and logging information into the ERP system
• Maintaining inspection documentation and ensuring traceability of materials
• Accurately documenting and verifying quantities of received items and backorders
• Using measuring tools such as calipers, micrometers, and tape measures
• Recording and reporting inspection results accurately in ERP systems
• Collaborating with Purchasing to resolve material quality issues
• Communicating with various departments regarding received materials
• Utilizing interim MRP systems to update current material information
• Stamping, initialing, and dating each received line item
• Inspecting raw materials received for size, length, mill report, and country of origin
• Checking material certifications to ensure they match purchase orders
• Reviewing provided information in detail to support project movement and problem-solving
• Recording quantities of measured parts to the inspection log
• Maintaining an organized and clean work area
• Upholding and maintaining a positive safety culture
• Allocating parts to designated areas
• Securing items on pallets with banding and/or shrink wrap
• Tagging and labeling incoming materials
• Loading and unloading trucks as required
• Boxing or packaging like items together
• Stocking materials as needed
• Updating and maintaining inventory records
• Cross-training into other departments, including material prep, as needed

The selected candidate will also possess:

• High school diploma or GED required
• 3+ years of receiving experience preferred
• 2+ years of warehouse or general labor experience required
• 1+ year of manufacturing environment experience preferred
• Experience using ERP systems required
• Ability to read, write, and count accurately to complete all documentation
• Experience with Microsoft programs including Outlook, Word, Excel, Teams, and SharePoint
• Ability to carry out tasks efficiently and independently without constant onsite supervision
• Ability to apply practical and logical reasoning to complete tasks successfully
• Ability to understand, retain, and execute verbal and written directions
• Ability to meet deadlines
• Open-minded team player who is receptive to feedback and motivated to grow within the role
• Ability to concentrate on tasks for extended periods without being distracted
• Excellent communication skills
• Self-driven and eager to complete tasks
• Ability to work onsite in a manufacturing environment
• Ability to work Monday through Friday from 6:00 AM to 2:30 PM
• Ability to work overtime and/or Saturdays as needed

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to work on a production floor while wearing required safety glasses and safety toe shoes or boots
• Ability to stand, walk, bend, lift, reach, and move throughout the workday
• Ability to lift up to 49 pounds
• Familiarity with lifting equipment for items over 49 pounds
• Ability to load and unload trucks as required
• Ability to secure items on pallets using banding and/or shrink wrap
• Ability to use measuring tools such as calipers, micrometers, and tape measures
• Ability to operate machinery or equipment as needed for receiving and material handling tasks
• Ability to work in a production environment where temperature, noise, and safety exposure may vary
• Ability to use computer systems, ERP/MRP systems, and Microsoft programs for documentation and inventory updates

Salary Range: $22 to $25/hour
