Mortgage Financing Advisor (Pulte Mortgage)

Job Summary The Mortgage Financing Advisor is primarily responsible for pre‑contract and pre‑approval advisory conversations with potential homebuyers. The role includes builder sales training and support, mortgage loan backlog management, marketing efforts, and relationship management across all stakeholders. The Advisor is a non‑origination role that supports loans already originated through the centralized mortgage operations center, serving as a liaison to the Mortgage Operations team. Responsibilities Meet with buyer prospects to provide financial guidance, expertise, and pre‑approval services. Sell the value of Pulte Mortgage to buyers requiring financing, setting expectations for applications and documentation. Build relationships and train PulteGroup sales consultants. Develop partnerships with centralized operations teammates. Ensure a smooth transition from pre‑contract activities to loan application with the Mortgage Operations team. Provide accurate loan backlog status visibility during weekly builder meetings; assist in progressing loans through the pipeline to ensure on‑time construction starts and closings. Contribute to branch performance metrics including retention, customer service, compliance, and financial goal support. Provide exceptional customer service to all stakeholders and support customer service efforts. Perform other duties as assigned. Qualifications Minimum high school diploma or equivalent; bachelor’s degree preferred. 3–5 years of related experience in mortgage lending (preferred). 1–2 years of successful sales and/or business development experience (preferred). Licensing & Certifications Valid driver’s license (driving is essential). An active NMLS license is preferred; the candidate must obtain and maintain a mortgage license as required. Skills & Knowledge Strong communication skills to convey actionable information at all organizational levels. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite. Proactive, self‑motivated, and goal‑oriented with the ability to set and achieve sales targets. Excellent customer service and presentation skills. Ability to thrive in a fast‑paced, high‑volume environment. Strong time‑management, multi‑tasking, analytical, and problem‑solving skills. Strong financial acumen. Bilingual skills are highly desirable. Additional Information This position is subject to the CFPB Loan Originator Compensation Rule. Salary is offered plus an annual bonus structure. The role is office‑based, requiring in‑office attendance five days a week to foster team collaboration and direct customer engagement. Candidate should be open to flexible scheduling options and have the ability to adapt to change as needed. Occasional weekend and/or evening hours may be required for events such as grand openings.
