Industrial Maintenance Technician

Overview Mural Group is partnering with a wire manufacturer and looking for a hands-on Maintenance Technician to support a high-volume manufacturing operation. This is a night shift role in a fast-paced environment where uptime is critical. The ideal candidate is strong electrically, capable of troubleshooting down to the PLC level, and comfortable handling both reactive and preventive maintenance. Location: Dayton, TX 77535 Hire type: Full-Time Shift: 3rd shift Pay Range: $36 - $38 /hr What You’ll Do
- Diagnose and repair electrical, mechanical, and pneumatic systems on production equipment
- Troubleshoot control systems and PLC-driven machinery(no programming required)
- Perform preventive maintenance to reduce downtime and improve reliability
- Support repairs on motors, drives, sensors, and related components
- Fabricate or modify parts using shop equipment as needed
- Document work performed and communicate issues across shifts
- Maintain a safe and organized work environment
- 3+ years of industrial maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment
- Strong electrical troubleshooting skills(required)
- Working knowledge of PLCs (no programming access), motors, drives, hydraulics, and pneumatics
- Ability to read and interpret schematics and technical drawings
- Mechanically capable (bearings, alignment, general repairs)
- Experience using hand tools, power tools, and diagnostic equipment
- Comfortable working independently on night shift
- Forklift experience preferred
- Basic computer skills required for documentation and tracking
- Strong problem-solving mindset — able to diagnose issues, not just replace parts
