Associate Litigation Attorney

Job Overview A law firm seeks an Associate Litigation Attorney in Palos Verdes Estates, CA. The ideal candidate will have 2 to 5 or more years of litigation experience, preferably in insurance defense, and will join a dynamic team handling complex civil litigation and insurance matters. Duties Conduct legal research and draft pleadings, motions, discovery, and memoranda. Appear in court for law and motion hearings and case management conferences. Take and defend depositions, commensurate with experience. Analyze cases and assist in developing litigation strategy. Participate in trial preparation and trial. Attend and assist with mediations, commensurate with experience. Work directly with partners and senior attorneys on complex matters. Requirements Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school. Active member in good standing with the California State Bar (or pending admission). Strong legal research, writing, and analytical skills. Excellent written and oral communication abilities. Exceptional organization, attention to detail, and time-management skills. Ability to manage multiple matters and deadlines in a fast-paced environment. A strong work ethic, intellectual curiosity, and genuine desire to grow as a trial lawyer. Education Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.
