BetterRoof Metal Works LLC

Job Description

Job Description

Roofing & Siding Installer — BetterRoof Metal Works

Stevensville, MT | Serving the Bitterroot Valley, Hamilton & Surrounding Areas

Before reading further, please understand that we are looking for experienced roofers who are ambitious, hard-working, and committed to getting better at their trade.

You also need integrity. That means showing up on time, doing what you say you'll do, and being someone the crew can depend on. We built our reputation on that — if we can't count on you, you won't be here long.

Tough (adjective | doesn't fold when the job gets hard): Montana weather doesn't care about your schedule. Some days run past 6:00, some jobs fight you the whole way. We need people who push through instead of clocking out mentally.

Sharp (adjective | pays attention to the details): Metal roofing and siding don't forgive sloppy work — the client sees every seam. We want installers who catch problems before they become callbacks.

Reliable (noun | the reason we get repeat work and referrals): We're a small, owner-operated crew in the Bitterroot Valley, and our name is on every job. Be on time, tools in hand, ready to work — the whole crew depends on it.

Pay

Starting pay is $18–$30/hour, based on your skill level.

What you'll be doing:

  • Installing metal roofing and siding on residential and commercial projects across the Bitterroot Valley and surrounding areas
  • Reading job specs and working efficiently under a veteran installer or independently once trained

Keeping the jobsite clean and protecting client property every single day

  • Following safety protocol and wearing required PPE — no shortcuts

What you'll be gaining:

  • Full-time seasonal work with a growing local company
  • Hands-on training from a crew that's been doing this for years
  • A real shot at moving up — veteran installers on our team operate with real independence and get paid for it
  • A crew that actually has your back, on and off the roof

What you'll bring to the table:

  • A strong work ethic and the flexibility to handle a Montana workday — weather, deliveries, and inspections don't always cooperate
  • Problem-solving instincts — spot the issue, flag it, fix it
  • Comfort with heights and working on a roof, plus the basic physical stamina for ladder work, lifting, and full days outdoors
  • A “own your work” attitude — if something goes wrong, you speak up and fix it, you don't point fingers
  • Respect for clients' homes and property, every time, no exceptions

What you didn't know about us:

We're not the biggest roofing company in Montana. We're not trying to be. We're three guys who took over an established roofing business because we believe in doing the work right and building something people trust. We'd rather hire someone with a great attitude and clean boots than someone with 20 years of experience and a bad one. Reputation is everything out here — we protect ours, and we expect you to protect it with us.

We're not looking to fill a seat for a season. We're looking for long-term partnerships. If you show up, work hard, and prove you're someone we can build with, we'll invest in you — more responsibility, more pay, and a real path to grow with the business. Good employees who stick with us don't stay installers forever; we want to help you reach your goals and turn this into a longterm career, not just a job.

If you're tough, sharp, and reliable, we want to hear from you. If you're not all three, this isn't the job for you
