Prostate Sales Consultant – New Brunswick, NJ Purpose: Responsible for driving the clinical demand, education, and sale of Nubeqa and Xofigo to medical oncologists, urologists, radiation oncologists, and mid‑level healthcare professionals (NPs/PAs) within oncology specialty institutions (academic and community hospitals, cancer centers, free‑standing community clinics, and treatment centers) in the New Brunswick, NJ territory. Travel up to 50%. Candidates must be domiciled within the territory, preferably in New Brunswick, NJ. Responsibilities Demonstrate competency of product clinical efficacy and articulate a strong value proposition for the customer; Learn and retain in-depth clinical knowledge of numerous tumor types to educate Healthcare Professionals on the benefits of Bayer medications; Build key office relationships and solicit customer inputs to ensure account needs are met; Influence accounts by meeting customer needs/preferences, understanding their goals/priorities, and tailoring messaging; Strive to deliver sales goals by exploring growth opportunities, removing barriers, and reshaping sales strategy; Review sales data, assess trends, and adjust strategy based on insights; Leverage resources and market data to prepare for account conversations, keeping customer needs top of mind; Proactively address account/market uncertainties, maintain a flexible mindset, and engage peers for business perspective; Build networks by involving cross‑functional stakeholders and building best practices; Adopt emerging technologies to increase performance; Commit to learning agility and reflect on past experiences for continuous improvement; Target, develop, assess, and maintain a thorough understanding of accounts and key customers; Apply strategic thinking while maintaining a key customer database; Demonstrate competency with key account management best practices and selling skills; Liaise with Bayer personnel to provide patient and reimbursement support while exceeding sales goals; Develop business plans aligned to strategic brand imperatives, linking resources to results; Maintain patient‑focused relationships with healthcare professionals and key opinion leaders; Show strong collaboration and teamwork with internal and external stakeholders; Develop a long‑term account activation plan involving gatekeepers/influencers; Adhere to company compliance guidelines, policies, and procedures. Who You Are Bayer seeks an incumbent who possesses the following: Required Qualifications Bachelor’s degree or 10 years of relevant experience in lieu of a Bachelor’s degree; Relevant specialty pharmaceutical, biotech, or medical sales experience; Some specialty pharmaceutical sales experience in Oncology; Experience selling a product in combination with a companion diagnostic; Excellent negotiation skills; Valid driver’s license and clean driving record; Ability to travel as necessary, including overnight or weekend travel; Excellent written and oral communication skills; Strong cross‑functional collaboration skills; Passionate and self‑motivated individual; Ability to comply with customer credentialing and safety requirements; Newly hired employees may be subject to further credentialing. Preferred Qualifications Degree in biological science or related discipline; 5+ years of relevant specialty pharmaceutical sales experience; Specialty experience in Oncology and Urology strongly preferred; Specialty experience in Cardiovascular, Diabetes Care, Endocrinology, or Diagnostics; Strong clinical expertise in various tumor types (Prostate, CRC, Lung, GIST, Sarcoma, Niche Tumors, etc.); Ability to sell in pediatric and adult oncology settings; Experience launching new products and/or indications; Diagnostic or genomic testing experience; Experience with academic institutions or large oncology accounts; Familiarity with immunohistochemistry or next‑generation sequencing; Scientific background and understanding of clinical trials.
