Speech Pathologist, PRN

Overview Piedmont Rockdale is a 161-bed, acute care, not-for-profit community hospital in Conyers that has provided compassionate, patient-centered care to Rockdale County and surrounding communities since 1954. We offer 24‑hour emergency care, plus most major medical, surgical and diagnostic services. Responsibilities Provide speech‑language pathology services by coordinating consultations and diagnostic evaluations with patients having known or suspected communication disorders and/or oropharyngeal dysphagia; interpret assessment data; plan and perform speech‑language pathology treatment intervention programs when appropriate that restore function, prevent disability and help patients reach maximum potential. Provide patient care to all age groups, including neonate, pediatric, adult and geriatric. Supervise rehabilitation technicians, students, and observers; may be responsible for orientation and ongoing guidance of assigned staff. Qualifications Master's degree in Speech‑Language Pathology/Communication Disorders from an accredited graduate school. CCC - Clinical Speech Pathologist from the American Speech‑Language‑Hearing Association (ASHA). Licensure by the Georgia Board of Examiners of Speech/Language Pathology.
