School Age Lead The School Age Lead supports the work of the Y, a leading nonprofit committed to strengthening community through youth development, healthy living, and social responsibility. This part-time position supports the School Age team by ensuring the health and safety of all children while assisting the School Age Assistants with overseeing the delivery of age-appropriate educational programs and positively engaging with members and families to enhance their experience and their children's growth at our facility. Essential functions include ensuring the safety of all children, creating curriculum activities that allow children's engagement, arriving at work on time and in uniform, communicating as necessary with the School Age Team Lead, partnering with School Age Assistants to create an environment of teamwork, maintaining awareness of children's activities, following parent/guardian sign in and sign out procedures, following provided curriculum activities, supervising and interacting with children in a variety of positive, fun and learning activities, following emergency procedures and safety precautions, adhering to all policies, rules, and regulations, providing feedback and addressing concerns in a courteous manner, adhering to work schedule and substituting for other staff as needed, and accepting additional assignments as deemed appropriate. Qualifications include a high school diploma or equivalent, minimum age 18, and previous child educational experience preferred. The minimum starting rate is $13.50 an hour, starting rate based on experience. Flexible hours, floats between the locations listed below: Main Y Location 6:00-8:20am & 3:00-6:00pm Cooks Corner Elementary 6:00-8:20am & 3:00-6:00pm Summer hours available through our Summer Camp program The physical demands include extended periods of sitting, standing, and walking, bending, stooping, reaching, lifting, and carrying up to 20 pounds, and outside building travel required.
