Key Responsibilities\nAs a Licensed Mental Health Counselor, your day-to-day responsibilities will include:

- Conducting thorough assessments and screenings to determine clients’ history of substance abuse and mental health issues. \n
- Collaborating with clients to develop personalized treatment plans that address their specific addiction and mental health needs. \n
- Facilitating both individual and group therapy sessions, employing proven evidence-based therapeutic techniques. \n
- Working closely with a multidisciplinary team to coordinate integrated care, ensuring all aspects of the client’s wellness are addressed. \n
- Providing education and resources to families, enabling them to be active participants in the recovery process. \n
- Maintaining accurate and confidential records and documentation in accordance with regulatory requirements. \n
- Engaging in continuous professional development to stay abreast of the latest treatment modalities and best practices. \n
You will primarily work with individuals struggling with substance abuse, many of whom may also face co-occurring mental health disorders. Your role will be crucial in not only facilitating their recovery but also in helping them build the skills necessary to sustain sobriety and lead fulfilling lives. You'll also connect with families, supporting them in understanding addiction's impact and how they can help their loved ones through their recovery journey.
Qualifications\nThe ideal candidate will have:

- A valid license to practice as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), or similar. \n
- A master's or doctoral degree in Counseling, Social Work, Psychology, or a related field. \n
- Specialized training or notable experience in addiction counseling, paired with strong therapeutic skills that promote client motivation and engagement. \n
While not mandatory, the following experiences are preferred:

- Experience working in a substance abuse treatment setting. \n
- Familiarity with evidence-based practices for treating co-occurring disorders. \n
