Description

American Traveler is hiring a CVOR RN for a night shift assignment requiring 2+ years of cardiovascular OR experience and Epic charting proficiency.

Details

• Cardiovascular Operating Room (CVOR) unit within a hospital setting
• Night shift schedule, 3x12-hour shifts (7:00 PM-7:00 AM)
• Weekend rotation required (Friday-Sunday)
• Call responsibilities include approximately one weekday call per week and one weekend call every 5-6 weeks
• Floating required within facility and scope of practice as needed
• 1:1 patient ratio
• Epic charting system experience required

Requirements

• Active GA or Compact RN license required
• Minimum 2 years of CVOR experience required
• BLS and ACLS certifications required
• Experience with vascular procedures including AAA repair, arteriovenous fistula repair, carotid endarterectomy, and femoral popliteal bypass graft
• Experience with cardiovascular procedures including CABG, IABP, MAZE procedure, and mitral valve replacement preferred
• Experience with TAVR and VAD (LVAD/RVAD) preferred
• Scrub cardiovascular and vascular surgery experience preferred
• Thoracic surgery experience including VATS, thoracotomy, and lobe resection preferred
• Teaching hospital, community hospital, and Trauma Level I/II experience preferred
• Two supervisory references (Manager level or above) preferred at time of consideration

Additional Information

• Perform circulating and/or scrub duties for complex cardiovascular, vascular, and thoracic surgical procedures
• Holiday coverage required based on number of major holidays falling within the assignment period
• Major holidays include Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving/Black Friday, Christmas Eve/Day, and New Year's Eve/Day
• Maximum of 7 days RTO per contract, and RTO must be finalized prior to consideration
• No RTO permitted during orientation week
• Shift and schedule are firm with no alternate requests accommodated
• First-time travelers are welcome to apply
• Local candidates accepted at the same rate
• Previous Piedmont employees must be separated from all Piedmont facilities for one full year before returning as a traveler
