Collaborate with fellow teachers and staff to enhance interdisciplinary learning opportunities and share best practices. Communicate regularly with parents and guardians regarding student performance, behavior, and progress. Participate in school meetings, professional development workshops, and community events to support the school’s mission and goals. Adapt teaching methods and materials to meet the diverse needs of students, including those with varying abilities and backgrounds. Maintain accurate records of student attendance, grades, and other required documentation. Foster a love of learning by encouraging curiosity, creativity, and critical thinking among students. Requirements MA DESE Elementary, 1-6 License Bachelor’s degree in Education or a related field; a valid teaching certification for Grade 4 is required. Proven experience in teaching elementary school students, preferably in a Grade 4 setting. Strong understanding of child development and effective teaching strategies. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage and motivate students. Proficiency in using educational technology and tools to enhance learning. Ability to work collaboratively with colleagues, parents, and the school community. Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively. There is one class per grade in the school with full inclusion of special needs students.
