About The Client Our client is a flood, fire, and mold restoration contractor serving Long Island's East End and the Hampton's. The client handles water, fire, and mold losses from emergency response through completion, covering both private-pay and insurance claims, and performs all work in accordance with IICRC standards and full New York State regulatory compliance. The Role Our client is hiring a Restoration Project Manager to own mitigation projects end-to-end—water, fire, and mold—from the first site visit through drying, documentation, and closeout. The selected candidate will lead crews and subcontractors, keep projects on scope and on schedule, and serve as the primary point of contact for homeowners, property managers, and insurance adjusters. This is a hybrid field-and-office role for someone with strong restoration expertise who can document projects thoroughly enough to meet insurance carrier review requirements. What You’ll Do Respond to and assess water, fire, and mold losses; categorize and classify them in accordance with IICRC S-500 and S-520 standards. Develop and manage the drying plan, including moisture mapping, psychrometric readings, equipment sizing and placement, and daily monitoring. Coordinate in-house crews and specialty subcontractors; schedule labor, equipment, and materials. Own all job documentation, including photos, moisture logs, scope notes, and compliance paperwork that meets insurance and TPA standards. Communicate with customers and insurance adjusters throughout the project, setting expectations and keeping the claim moving. Support estimating and supplements in Xactimate (RFIs, ACV/RCV, O&P, and price list codes). Ensure containment, PPE, and safety practices comply with NYS Article 32, IICRC S-520, and OSHA requirements. Manage the project budget, timeline, and quality through final closeout and payment collection. Required 3+ years of hands‑on experience in water, fire, and mold mitigation, including managing insurance or TPA projects. Active IICRC WRT certification (WRT + FSRT strongly preferred). Licensed New York State Mold Abatement Supervisor. Proficiency with job documentation and restoration/estimating software (Xactimate is a major plus). Comfortable performing field work, including climbing ladders, working in confined spaces, and lifting 50+ lbs. Valid New York driver’s license with a clean driving record. Strong communication skills with the ability to remain calm while working with stressed homeowners and demanding insurance adjusters. Availability to work extended hours and respond to emergency calls. Preferred AMRT and/or FSRT certification. Xactimate Level 1-3 certification. Familiarity with New York State Article 32 mold licensing, as well as Lead RRP and asbestos protocols. Located between Westhampton and Montauk, NY.
