Game Day Staff Bartender | Seasonal Part-Time | Virginia Tech Club

The Game Day Staff Bartender prepares and serves alcoholic beverages to guests. Ensures quality of beverage presentation. Utilizes a register and accepts payment. Must be able to maintain excellent attendance in accordance with the attendance policy.

This role will pay an hourly rate of $16.00-$18.00 and is tip eligible.

This is a seasonal role from August 19, 2026, and will end on November 30, 2026.

This position will remain open until September 3, 2026.

Responsibilities

• Conduct the register sales by taking orders, building orders, and completing the transaction.
• Ability to build orders, prepare drinks, and knowledge in all areas of concessions operations.
• Responsible for maintaining stock and supply levels and communicating to the Concessions Stand Manager of low stock items.
• Listening and responding to customer requests or concerns.
• Responsible for maintaining a clean and organized workspace, including but not limited to the disposal of garbage & cleaning dishes.
• Serve beverages to guests, including alcoholic beverages, responsibly.
• Check the guest's ID in accordance with state/federal regulations to verify the minimum age requirement for the purchase of alcoholic beverages.
• Maintains sanitation, health, and safety standards in work areas.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Three or more months' experience in the food service industry preferred.
• Excellent interpersonal skills & a friendly, positive attitude with co-workers, managers, volunteers & guests.
• Previous experience Bartending is a plus.
• Must be available to work nights, weekends, and/or holidays as needed.
