Petroleum Service Technician Job Status: Full Time FLSA Status: Non - Exempt Reports To: Service Manager Grade/Level: Mid-Level; Construction or Petroleum Background Preferred Amount of Travel Required: 10-50% Work Schedule: Monday - Friday 7:00am - 5:00pm (on call) POSITION SUMMARY Diagnose, adjust, repair, maintain, or replace components applicable in the petroleum industry. Install, pipe and wire petroleum fueling equipment. Program electronic fuel dispensers, monitoring equipment and point of sale systems. Analyze electronic and mechanical issues and make correct repairs. Install new equipment following repair, test operation, and adjust as necessary. Examine and listen to equipment, read inspection reports, and confer with customers to locate and diagnose malfunctions. Reassemble equipment following repair, test operation, and adjust as necessary. Test and replace electrical components and wiring. Repair or replace defective parts. Operate company vehicle. Record details of repairs made, and parts used. Perform other duties as assigned. EXPERIENCE Will be trained to acquire state, OSHA and individual equipment manufacturers certifications. A valid driver's license with an insurable driving record is required. Ability to wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), hard hat, safety vest & glasses when necessary. Must be able to pass DOT driving requirements. Computer Skills: Proficient in the use of personal computers and smartphones. EDUCATION High School Graduate or General Education Degree (GED) required. WORK ENVIRONMENT Based on customer location and work needed.
