Job Title: Seasonal Floor Manager
Employment Type: Seasonal/Temporary
Pay: $19.00 per hour
Start Date: Mid-October
Location: Gastonia

Schedule: Associates can choose from one of the following rotating schedules:

Schedule A
Week 1: Sunday–Wednesday, 6:00 PM–4:00AM
Week 2: Sunday–Tuesday, 6:00 PM–4:00 AM

Schedule B
Week 1: Thursday–Saturday, 6:00 PM–4:00 AM
Week 2: Wednesday–Saturday, 6:00 PM–4:00 AM

Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced and dependable Seasonal Floor Manager to provide hands-on leadership for a fast-paced warehouse operation. This position is responsible for helping coordinate daily floor activities, supporting warehouse associates and leads, monitoring workflow, and ensuring productivity, quality, and safety expectations are followed.

The Floor Manager will maintain a strong presence on the warehouse floor and work closely with the picking, packing, shipping, and quality teams to keep operations running efficiently. The ideal candidate will have previous warehouse leadership experience, strong communication skills, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a high-volume environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide hands-on leadership and direction to warehouse associates throughout the shift

• Coordinate daily workflow across picking, packing, shipping, and other assigned warehouse areas

• Work closely with Pick Leads, Shipping Leads, and QC personnel to maintain efficient operations

• Monitor staffing and adjust associate assignments based on workload and operational needs

• Monitor productivity, quality, and order accuracy throughout the shift

• Ensure associates follow established warehouse procedures and safety requirements

• Address workflow issues, employee concerns, and operational challenges as they arise

• Assist with training, coaching, and providing direction to seasonal associates

• Monitor attendance and communicate staffing concerns to appropriate leadership

• Help ensure orders are completed accurately and on schedule

• Maintain communication with management regarding production progress, staffing, quality concerns, and operational issues

• Promote a clean, organized, and safe warehouse environment

• Provide hands-on assistance to the team during high-volume periods as needed

• Perform additional leadership and warehouse duties as assigned

Required Qualifications:

• Previous warehouse, distribution, or fulfillment experience required

• Previous leadership, supervisory, or management experience required

• Strong understanding of warehouse operations and workflow

• Ability to lead and provide clear direction to a team

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills

• Strong organizational, time-management, and problem-solving abilities

• Ability to make decisions and adjust priorities in a fast-paced environment

• Ability to maintain professionalism while addressing employee and operational concerns

• Dependable attendance and ability to report to work as scheduled

• Ability to work the assigned rotating schedule, including weekends

Preferred Qualifications:

• Previous experience managing employees in a high-volume warehouse or distribution environment

• Experience with picking, packing, shipping, inventory, and order fulfillment operations

• Experience training and coaching warehouse associates

• RF scanner/Warehouse Management System experience

• Bilingual English/Spanish skills are a plus

Physical & Work Environment Requirements:

• Must be able to stand and walk for the duration of the shift

• Must be able to move frequently throughout the warehouse to oversee multiple work areas

• Ability to frequently bend, reach, and perform general warehouse activities as needed

• Must be comfortable working in a non-climate-controlled warehouse environment

• Ability to work in a physically active, fast-paced environment
