Supply Chain Specialist

Supply Chain SpecialistWorking as Full-time, Supply Chain Specialist, you will be a strategic link in the company impacting how Fastenal manages product flow both domestically and internationally. This position will work closely with other departments such as Operations, Logistics, Supplier Development, & Accounting to improve product flow efficiency. Regular decision making and strategy will help you be successful in this role. These decisions may include, but are not limited to, determining which products to bring into our distribution center stocked offering, optimal stocking locations throughout our network and appropriate inventory stocking levels by item. This position may offer a flexible schedule after a period of onboarding, training, and meeting performance goals.The duties and responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:Analyzing data and communicating results clearlySupporting business needsCollaborating with various departmentsDesigning implementation and support of corporate initiativesDetermining root causesAligning with business objectives within supply chainThe following skills and qualifications are required for this position:18 years of age or olderPrior administrative, customer service, or industry experience OR possess or are working towards a degree in Supply Chain, Operations, Finance, Business Administration, Math, Statistics, Data Science or a related Business fieldExcellent written and oral communication skillsProficient using Microsoft Office SuiteDemonstrate strong math aptitude, attention to detail and sense of urgencyDemonstrate strong organization, planning and prioritizing abilitiesExhibit strong problem solving, deductive reasoning and decision making skillsLearn and perform multiple tasks in a fast paced environmentWork well independently and in a team environmentDemonstrate our core values of ambition, innovation, integrity and teamworkPass the required drug screen (applicable in the US, Puerto Rico and Guam ONLY)Since 1967 Fastenal has grown as a distributor of industrial and construction supplies from a single branch to a Fortune 500 company with over 3,000 servicing locations, each providing tailored local inventory and personal service for our customers. In addition to base pay, this position is also eligible for a bonus and/or commission.
