Telemetry Unit - Travel Registered Nurse

Shift: 7:00 AM - 7:00 PM

Experience:

• 24 months of experience with 3 months worked in the last 12 months.

• 24 months of Telemetry Unit experience with 12 months worked in the last 3 years.

• BSN completion required.

Requirements:

• Candidates must have a Idaho license or compact license (required after submission).

• This role may require floating to additional units and locations

• Travel only, local not allowed. Candidates must live >50 miles from facility to be submitted.

• 12 months gap required between for Staff at Program: Medical Solutions Plus Program - St. Luke’s Health System and no current placement allowed at Program: Medical Solutions Plus Program - St. Luke’s Health System.

Additional Details:

Required Skills/Experience: Cardiac drip experience, NIH stroke assessment experience, post-cath recovery, and chest tube experience required.

Preferred Skills/Experience: Experience with TR bands and Fem stops preferred.

Special Requests: Any employment gaps greater than 30 days must be explained. Eligibility as current/previous employee: The facility may make one-off exceptions if previously employed at the facility, but exceptions must be approved by St. Luke’s Health System.

Unit Details: Uses Epic. Common diagnoses include CHF, NSTEMI, STEMI, stroke, sepsis, diabetes, CAD, renal failure, respiratory failure, pneumothorax, and post-cath lab patients. No titratable drips; commonly sees set-rate diltiazem and amiodarone. No epi or nitro on this floor. Tele techs are currently on the floor and will later be centralized off site. RNs read and document telemetry every 6 hours. Uses SpaceLab monitors, transitioning to Philips. Charge nurse and house supervisor are available and do not take patients. Nurse aides available at 1:8/9. CPAP, BiPAP, and high flow are used on the unit; RT manages these.

Shift & Scheduling: Weekends as needed. Holidays as needed. No call.

Floating Requirements: First to float. Will float to like units and Med/Surg at times. May also float to Boise Medical Center and Nampa Medical Center to like units and Med/Surg if needed. May also float to ICU if experienced.

14 days maximum time off

1 Manager/Supervisor reference required from within the last 12 months

1 Charge/Lead reference required from within the last 3 years

Driver’s license required for submission
