Business Development Manager - Dielectric Fluids (Open to Remote within US)

Job Purpose and ImpactThe Business Development Manager - Dielectric Fluids –US Southwest & South Central (Open to Remote within US) will primarily focus on utilities, whilst also developing ways to increase sales from new and existing market segments for our dielectric fluid offering. We seek a professional who will support the development of processes to identify and contact prospective customers, building relationships to generate future sales and repeat business. In this role, you will assess customer needs and suggest appropriate products, services, and solutions, participating in activities of marketing, sales, and engineering support to reach objectives and revenue.Candidates must reside in the US Southwest or US South Central area, preferably in: Texas, New Mexico, California, Colorado, Arizona. In addition, candidates must live within close proximity to a major airport to support travel requirements. This position requires up to 50% travel.Key AccountabilitiesIdentify, develop, and close new sales by translating customer needs into business strategy to capture commercial sales.Create demand for products and services by raising their profile with customers.Promote product market recognition with technical knowledge and market research or intelligence.Monitor customer and competitor activity and industry trends.Participate in regular status and strategy meetings with customers' senior management to understand and meet their needs.Execute sales plans with strategies to protect, grow and diversify relationships with targeted customers.Independently handle complex issues with minimal supervision, while escalating only the most complex issues to appropriate staff.Other duties as assigned.#LI-FA1 #LI-RemoteQualificationsBachelor's degree in electrical, mechanical engineering or chemistry OR related field OR equivalent industry experienceMinimum of four years of related work experience in sales or business development Minimum of three years of experience within the Energy industry (electrical segment)Able and willing to travel up to 50%Valid driver’s license in good standing Preferred QualificationsMaster’s degree in electrical, mechanical engineering or chemistry or related fieldExperience with utilities in USAExperience & knowledge of transformersFive to ten years’ experience in combined sales, marketing, and business development.CRM or Salesforce experienceApplicant InformationThe expected salary for this position is $140,000 to 160,000. Compensation varies depending on a wide array of factors including but not limited to the specific location, certifications, education, and level of experience. The disclosed range estimate may be adjusted for any applicable geographic differential associated with the location at which the position may be filled. This position is eligible for a discretionary incentive award. The incentive award amount is dependent upon company performance and your personal performance.At Cargill we put people first.
